Currently I am on track to obtain my Bachelors Degree with dual distinction in Kinesiology and Business. I have a few courses remaining, one of those being PORT 399. All core course work has been completed, I am just making sure all my upper level electives have been met. I have started to take courses in communications such as Intro to Journalism and Public Speaking to prepare myself and give me a good base knowledge to pursue a career in broadcasting. On top of that taking PORT 399 will help me build on the skills learned in PORT 398 and enhance my professional portfolio. It will also help me refine my skills and see what skills are best suited to set me apart from the others.
In order to become as on-air personality I am going to need formal training that is why I am planning on further my education after my degree and obtaining a diploma or masters of journalism. Hopefully, I am able to get an entry level position after graduation and really getting to understand how the industry operates and refine my skills and cater them to my profession of choice. As well gaining this valuable experience is going to create interpersonal learning where I can then be able to make adjustments personally, or even build and create new skills that will allow me to be successful.
